Dashing Through the Snow & ‘Tis the Season Book Tag!

Hey guys! How are you all doing?

Today I decided to do two wintery tags nominated by Summer @Xingsings. Thank you so much girl! Although I have a lot of old tags to do but this one was the most appropriate for December! Guys definitely check out her wonderful blog those who already haven’t. Seriously, she’s one of the nicest blogger and a great friend.

So , here goes my answers…

Dashing Through the Snow Book Tag-

1. Name a book you’d like to see under your Christmas tree?

Illuminae by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman. I’ve been wanting to read this book for such a long time (atleast it feels that way!) and I’ve only heard super good things about this book. Unfortunately, due to the heavy price I’m still not able to buy it but I’m going to find a way to have this in my precious arms by next year! 😛

2. A book you’ll be reading during the Christmas season?

I’m currently reading The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey,  i’m loving ot so far. Although it’s nothing Christmasy but I want to finish this book before the movie comes out in January, so I’ll definitely continue with this. Also I’m pretty excited to read The Girlfriend Request by debut author, Jodie Andrefski and Not Okay Cupid by Heidi R. Kling . Hopefully I’ll read this two books in this month as well.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?

I don’t have any particular favourite but I love The Christmas Carol, the movie is so beautiful and heartwarming.

4. Do you like snow?

YES! But it doesn’t snow here. 😦 I’ve only experienced those canned sprays which give the snowy effect. Especially this year the weather’s been very weird, it’s only been two or three days since it actually started to feel cold, so no snow.

5. Name a character you would like to spend Christmas day with?

Apart from my family? Kai. Definitely Kai (from The Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins). I would love to spend my day with the ultimate bad boy, I’m still not over him! But that might cost me my good girl award from Santa? I think I’ll live despite the consequences… 😉

6. To give or to receive?

Definitely both. Who doesn’t love to receive gifts? I looooove it! Though I do not receive any gifts other than my family but I’m contended with it. I love giving as well but I would like to do that on a much larger scale once I actually start earning.

7. Fondest Christmas memory?

Just so you guys know, I’m still in denial (probably will always be) when I learnt Santa Claus is not real. That was a heartbreaking day… Nonetheless, my parents still play Santa every year and I love waking up to Christmas gifts beside my pillow. So yeah, I cherish this memory and make new ones every year. 🙂

8. Can you say “Christmas tree” ten times fast in a row (while pronouncing them correctly)?

Yep! I could do it! 😀

‘Tis the Season book tag-

1. Do you have a favorite winter read?

Not particularly. Though I read Heidi by Johanna Spyri kinda every year. The setting is beautiful and snowy! 🙂 And I fall in love with this book over and over again.

2. Find a book with blue on the cover!

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini.

3. Find a book you’d use as the star on a Christmas tree!

 

Maybe How to Say I Love You Out Loud by Karole Cozzo or A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray.

4. Pick one fictional place that would be perfect for a winter vacation!

Hogsmeade! It would be bloody darn perfect! 😀

5. Pick one fictional character you’d take with you on your winter vacation!

I kinda already answered this as well. Kai. It would’ve been heaven if I got to spend an entire vacation with this guy. Other than him I would love to spend some time with Kat from The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling. She’s a hardcore bookworm and one of my favourite female character whom I absolutely adore. It would’ve been great to spend some quality time with her too.

6. Name one book on your wish list this year!

I’m going to go with a different answer here, so Just Visiting by Dahlia Adler.

7. Favorite holiday drink, treat, & movie?

Holiday drink? Well umm… again not anything in particular but I love homemade hot tea. It helps to refresh my mind and gives me strength to carry on with the day. Favorite treat is definitely chocolate. Give this me on any day, any minute or any time of the day and I gobble it up! Movie I already answered- The Christmas Carol, oh I remembered another one, Ice Age is a fantastic movie and I love all the parts.
