Blurb (from Goodreads):

My life just went South…

Twenty-four hours. That’s how long it took my life to flip upside down.

Wake up in bed alone after the best night of my life? Check.

Get fired instead of the promised promotion? Check.

Wealthy parents cut me off when I refuse to follow their path for my life? Check.

Now I’m in Cricket Creek, SC—a place where no New Yorker belongs—disowned and broke, with a new job that I can’t mess up. Oh yeah, and staring at my one-night stand, who happens to be the complete opposite of my type.

Southern.

Cocky.

Bartender.

Noah Hunter never should have made it back to my apartment in NYC, and I definitely shouldn’t be in his small town. But fate had another plan. Or a horrible sense of humor.

Who knew Mr. Wrong could feel so right…

This book was what I exactly needed yesterday. And I’m loving this series although each book in this series can be read as a standalone. You can read my review of No Kissing Allowed, book 1 here.

Grace Soaring is the only daughter of a multimillionaire yet she doesn’t want to join her father’s company, she wants to have a name for herself. But that doesn’t sit well with her father as she ends up being cut off from her family wealth. Then she meets Noah, a bartender and who is the total opposite of her. Yet they both have a hard time resisting one another. But Noah has some issues due to which he can’t completely surrender. Will they actually build something real or will it be destroyed before they even reach that point?

I loved the storyline! It was quite refreshing. Grace is the daughter of a multimillionaire yet she wants to reach fame with her own hard work, just like her father did. Yet he doesn’t understand the fact but Grace is quite stubborn. I loved this quality of hers, no matter what happened, she sticked to her belief. Although this book starts as a typical NA book but as it proceeded the plot slowly developed more meaning to it. Noah was a great characters and I absolutely loved him but he could he really stupid sometimes though I loved what he did towards the end. But what I loved the most was that Grace didn’t wait or fidget about what was going to happen, she fought back! God! I loved that girl!

The plot otherwise was quite interesting as well. I loved seeing how things happened one by one. Grace’s best friends were pretty great as well, I wished there were more scenes of them together. Noah was a great big brother, he was the soul responsible for his brother but he also used him as an excuse for not committing to anyone. I loved how Grace made him throw this fact out of the window! But I loved how Noah was with his brother, it was adorable! There was not much family thingy in this book, but I really loved the little bit that was there.

Overall, No Falling Allowed was a great read! It was fun and light-hearted. The plot and the characters were interesting and kept me invested in the story. The writing was beautiful and easy to read and the pace was even throughout the book. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

Recommend it?

Yes!

  2. Great review, Poulami! I’m so glad that the MC was stubborn and wanted to make a name for herself, because that is always awesome! How was the chemistry, though? I find that really important in books like this, or what’s the point really?

LOVELY review, and I’m so glad to see you’re loving this series.
