Hey there guys! Welcome to Daydreaming Discussions. This is a monthly feature created by me where I discuss anything bookish related or sometimes it might be about any non-bookish things as well. Also, be prepared for a lot of ramblings and rantings and you’re very welcome to be a part of the discussion.
Today I wanted to talk about-
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand it’s a Part 2!!! Can you guys imagine how far behind I am?! I mean, I deleted a lot of books from my tbr, around 300 I guess which I wasn’t interested in reading anymore but these I couldn’t and I intend to finish it within this year!!
11. Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones- The cover is the first thing that dragged me in. Although there are a lot of mixed reviews about this duology, I’m definitely going to pick this one up and if I end up enjoying it, then I’ll proceed to the next book!
12. The Diabolic and The Empress by S.J. Kincaid- Book 3 is supposed to be published in the fall I think, soooo before that, I want to binge read these two!
13. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken- I am torn about this one, I have mostly read negative reviews about Passenger but I already own the copy, so I want to pick it up and see for myself if book 2 is worth reading or not.
14. Cinder & Ella and Happily Ever After by Kelly Oram- Cinder & Ella would be a reread for me but I haven’t written a review for it and I remember looooving this book, so I definitely want to binge read this duology! ❤
15. When We Collided by Emery Lord- This has been sitting on my shelf for eons now. I finally need to finish this!!
16. An Ember in the Ashes and A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir- First of all, the new cover change is hideous!!! And a lot of reviews say that book 2 was a downfall for them so I will wait and read this two and see if I want to continue or not. But still, the new covers are soooo effing bad!! I don’t know why the publishers do this to us!!! Like seriously!! When will they understand!
17. Dumplin by Julie Murphy- This one too has been sitting alone in my shelf collecting dust. I think I bought this within a month of the release but I don’t know why I never picked it up. So it’s timeeee…
18. Prodigy and Champion by Marie Lu- Champion got spoiled for me.Because someone wrote a review without warning about it!! Since then I haven’t touched them but I own the whole trilogy and I kinda feel for not completing them!
19. What’s a Girl Gotta Do? by Holly Bourne- Okay! I looooove this series!! I have read the first two books of this series and they were damn awesome. Feminism, positive girl love and sooo much! I can’t wait to buy this one and devour it!
20. Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor- Soooo, I read the first book in 2015 and I don’t remember a single thing but I soo want to finish this trilogy!! Hopefully, I will be able to tick this off from my list as well!

I feel like so many of these are on my list as well! The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, The Wintersong, Diabolic (probably).
I really hope both of us will get to read most of these books and hopefully, enjoy them too! ❤ I have such a huge issue with finishing series and I'll probably try to focus on that too.

I’ve had a lot of these on my TBR for quite some time as well heh. I was so so so pumped when Passenger was released and I won a beautiful copy of it, but I still haven’t read it!! And I’m determined to make this the year I finally read Legend. I’ve owned a copy for a VERY long time, and it sounds so interesting, but for some reason I never make the time to read it. Sigh. Good luck getting these read this year!!

I have Wintersong to read too! We should buddy read it?! (I’ve only ever buddy read with my writing partner so not sure what this entails but I’m game to try… it may urge us to read it?!)
Also I’ve read Passenger… it has some good ideas, not the best execution but it’s not trash. Dumplin was pretty good… total contemporary and female empowerment. I read the Daughter of a Smoke and Bone series too… it sure gets convoluted at the end but it is certainly an achievement to finish up so good luck (some major page lengths there I believe… I remember tome length anyway 😉)

Omg, so many great books! I really hope you enjoy Wintersong – it’s definitely for certain people and not others, but I myself really enjoyed the duology and its lovely ending. OMG AN EMBER IN THE ASHES TOO! I hope you get the chance to binge read some of these finished series!

Oh this is a lovely list, Poulami! I also really want to go on with the Ember in the Ashes series this year, I have read the first book and really enjoyed it – I can’t wait to read the second book 🙂 I also need to go on with the Legend series – I’m so sorry you were spoiled for the last book though, I heard it’s quite an emotional one hahaha, I hope you’ll still enjoy the rest of the series despite this 🙂

The Diabolic has been on my “read next” list for a long time. I think I might read the audiobook next month so I can get to it a little faster 😛
I read An Ember in the Night shortly after its release and was really curious to see where the sequel would go but, once again, I failed to get to it. Sigh…I’m hoping to read it by the end of 2018 though so fingers crossed!

Yes, yes we do! Wintersong, The Diabolic and Passenger!!!! So many books! I need to be a cat and have nine lives but then…. I would probably not be able to read LOL

i was a bit disappointed by passenger because it kinda dragged on a bit and the romance was a bit eh to me, but it overall wasn’t a bad book. I LOVE AN EMBER IN THE ASHES SO MUCH AHHH

Amazing list! I want to binge wintersong duology! I’ve bought the Diabolic because of its beautiful cover and I’ve heard it was pretty good. Let’s hope we both love it! I loved Cinder and Ella but I haven’t read the second book yet! I hope you enjoy re-reading it. The Ember In The Ashes is a great read! I haven’t read the second book yet but I’m hoping to get back to it after the third book is published. I’m not loving the new cover change too because it doesn’t match with the first two books(original) and I don’t like human faces on fantasy books. Legend has been in my TBR for a very long time but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I absolutely hate spoilers! I wanted to read The Infernal Devices trilogy and someone spoiled it for me in a book tag. i wanted to forget it as soon as I read it but it forever etched in my mind. I still want to give it a shot someday!
