Meet the Book Blogger tag!

Hey, y’all!
I have decided to do a tag after five thousand years of slumber.

Fate never seems to be on my side. I just tried to come back and boom, I fell extremely sick. Well, I was pretty much able to do nothing. At all. I was constantly dry coughing and had trouble breathing. Those weeks seems a blur right now but I hope I never have a repeat of that, ever again in this lifetime. 😭 I am quite alright now, thankfully.🤞

Anyhoooo, thanks to the lovely Marianna @ Marianna’s Corner for tagging me. Do check out her awesome blog if you already haven’t!

The rules for the tag:

    • Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
    • Use the same questions from the tag.

Okay, let’s shart shall we?

1. Who is your all-time favourite book character?
Okaaaay, so this is a no brainer for me. This title definitely goes to Magnus Bane, the all-time favourite glittery warlock from the Shadowhunters series (can I say that? He appears mostly in all books) by Cassandra Clare.

2. If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)
I would take books that I haven’t read yet. Wait, what? Only one book?
Maybe between The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon or House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. Haven’t read any of these two so it would be a good choice hopefully. (Not that I would last a day.)

3. What’s your most unpopular book opinion?
Not liking The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater maybe. The book has great reviews and quite a lot of bloggers love it. I have tried picking up the book three times now. Somehow, I don’t find it engaging and always end up dnf-ing it.

4. What’s your weirdest bookish habit?
Sniffing books is pretty much a norm in this community so I don’t, ahh yes, I remembered I do have the habit of turning to the last page to take a sneak peek. I don’t usually read the whole thing, just the last line or so. I have tried stopping myself, it just doesn’t happen.

5. What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?
Can I cheat and say Magnus Bane again? CanIcanICanI?
Because he is the beeeeeeeest!
Family events would comprise of relatives, not a huge fan of those and I tend to get easily bored. I believe Magnus would be the perfect choice, he would throw glitter and add some drama. 😅

6.What made you decide to start a book blog?
It was random. If I remember correctly, it was 2 or 3 AM when I decided.
Though I have to say I was very much inspired after seeing so many book blogs, so much fangirling. I fell in love with this community and just wanted to a part of it. I didn’t have anyone with a similar book choice when I started this book and this place provided me with the chance to shout my heart out about books. Still does.

7. What about reading and books do you love the most?
Losing myself in the stories, being with the characters, sharing the journey. I fell in love with reading around the age of 9-10 and since then it has been one of my biggest route of escape from reality.

8. What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?
Like Marianna, I want to work in publishing as an editor as well!!!

9. What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?
I can’t remember much but I think I was recommended Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. And boy oh boy, did I love the book and whole series!

10. What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?
The Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff. I (still) haven’t finished the trilogy but it’s EPIC!! It just is!

I tag:

  • Whoever wants to do this tag!

Hillow guys. How have you been?

We may have another lockdown in India, I dunno but everything’s a mess with the elections and the numbers are skyrocketing. I don’t know why wearing a mask is such trouble for some people. 😭 The election rallies where nobody wears a mask is definitely one of the major reasons for the increasing number of COVID cases. And also the airport scams where the authorities have actually allowed people to pass through without the one-week mandatory quarantine by getting bribes. What is even happening?

The whole country has to suffer for some people. Is the pandemic ever going to be over, with this attitude?

It’s very very frustrating and I am pretty hopeless at the moment. Everything is stuck. Life is stuck yet trudging through somehow. I haven’t felt this hopeless in my life the way I feel right now. 😦 How are you guys coping or has everything started to be better where you reside?

I haven’t been able to read or watch anything. I am trying but stopping halfway through. I don’t have the motivation to do anything and having to force myself to work. I have been trying to write a blog post for days which was definitely hindered by my illness, but half drafts are sitting and here I am, just wanting to vanish.

Definitely need some good book recommendations so I can stay rooted.

Burn, Rewrite or Reread & the #VILLAINSQUAD Book Tag!

Credit: Source

Heyaaa guys!! It’s been a million years since I have done a tag! So, well, why not…

Thanks, Analee @ Book Snacks for tagging me to do the Burn, Rewrite or Reread book tag!

What to do:

-Randomly choose 3 books. (I used the ‘Random’ option on my Goodreads read shelf.)
-For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread. (A lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill.)
-Repeat until you completed three rounds (—though I’m doing more because why not?)

[P.S. Please understand that it’s my own opinion and don’t be serious about any of those because this tag’s just for fun. And by burn, I would never in a million years I would burn an actual book (because those are my precious, precious babies!!!) even if I didn’t enjoy it!]

Let’s get started!

Round 1

Burn: Unbreak My Heart by Nicole Jacquelyn- Okay, this was a slightly tough decision because I liked reading this book but I really hated the male lead at first, his attitude was too much and the way he treated her, she deserved much more. So yah, ah burn.

Rewrite: Hate 2 Lovers by K. Webster & J.D. Hollyfield- Well, K. Webster is one of my favourite authors when it comes to dark and complex romance and this book kinda fell in the latter category. Though it was a pretty hilarious read, some parts could have been a bit better? Ah, yeah, so I chose rewrite!

Reread: The Reluctant Sacrifice by Kerr-Ann Dempster- This was hands down one of the best fantasy books I have ever read!! The storyline, the characters were all unique including the twists and turns. This book is definitely worth the reread.

Round 2

Burn: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt- This book kinda broke the image of the sweet angelic goodness that Easton was, the guy I fell for in the first place was replaced with a complete jerk and obsessive stranger and the plot of this book didn’t help much either.

Rewrite: The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown- I am a huuuuuuuuge Dan Brown. Yes, for some the formulaic plot worked and for some not. Fortunately, I fall into the former category! But among all his books, The Lost Symbol is the book I least enjoyed, so rewrite is the best option for this one!

Reread: Saven Deception by Siobhan Davis- One of my favourite science-fiction series eeeeeever!! Aliens, politics, battles and the never-ending plot twists engaged me from the very first book till the last and I definitely want to reread it if I get a chance!

Round 3

Burn: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard- I pretty much stopped after reading Red Queen because I didn’t enjoy it that much. The plot, the characters seemed predictable to me and I lost interest in it quite soon. So, uh yeah burn.

Rewrite: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer- I umm.. loved this book but well I had to choose, so yeah…

Reread: Butterfly Dreams by A. Meredith Walters- Oooooh this was such a wonderful and beaaaaautiful read. This was my first book by Meredith Walters and I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning. So yup, definitely reread!

Thanks, Dee @ The Bookish Khaleesi for tagging me to do the #VILLAINSQUAD tag!

Create your own villain squad!

1. Think of your own villain identity and power!

I have always loved the power of telekinesis and maybe also the ability to portal anywhere I want!

2. The Leader – Pick a villain to lead the squad.

Amarantha from A Court of Thornes and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. She was scary and horrifying. I remember being awestruck at how cruel she could be, she definitely earns this spot!

3. The Killer Smile – Pick a villain who’s just extremely attractive

Sebastian Morgenstern from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Ah well… Sebastian was freaking charming, nobody found out his true nature until it was veeeeery late.

4. The Loose Canon – Pick a villain that marches to the beat of their own drum

*Spoiler alert!* The Jackel from the Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown. A mastermind at scheming and definitely the one who likes to do his own evil thing!

5. The Unhinged One – Pick a villain that isn’t playing with a full deck

Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Uh… it’s a no-brainer. Levana is pretty much like that from the very start. I totally hated her but after reading Fairest I understood how unhinged her character actually was.

6. The Redeemer – Pick a villain that’s on a path of redemption/would play both sides

Aphrodite from the House of Night series by P.C & Kristin Cast. I absolutely loathed Aphrodite when I started HoN series. She was the cliched mean girl but oh my goodness, her character development was one of the best in this series. By the end of this series, she was one of my absolute favourites!

7. The Evil One – Pick a villain that is just bad to the bone

Good’ol Voldy from the Harry Potter series is the perfect candidate for this one, don’t you think? xD

8. The Once-Was-Good – Pick a villain that didn’t originally start out as a villain

The Lord Ruler from The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I can’t say more. It’s hella complicated. But yeah his intentions were definitely didn’t start out that way…

Sooooo do you guys, agree or disagree with me? If not, what are your choices?

The K-Pop Book Tag!! // K-pop has taken over my life…

Finally a tag!! 😀

I know I am slagging off on a looooot of tags right now but honestly, I couldn’t resist this tag. Because K-pop is lifeu!!! ❤ It has taken over my life and I looooove BTS to death!!

Anyway, thanks to Savannah @ The Book Prophet for tagging me in the K-pop book tag! Don’t forget to ckeck out her blog guys. ❤

  • Credit the creator of this tag: The Book Prophet.
  • Thank the person that tagged you
  • Answer all of the questions to the best of your abilities
  • Tag as many people as you’d like

BTS – A Book Everyone Knows About

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling or Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. I don’t think there’s anybody in this world who haven’t heard about these two series, even non-readers know the name!

EXO – Favorite Companion Novel

A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi. While A Crown of Wishes followed Maya’s life, this book focused on her sister, a.k.a Gauri’s journey. This book was definitely an interesting read, the references were relatable and it was an unpredictable read.

NU’EST – A Book/Series/Author That Doesn’t Get the Attention You Think it Deserves

The Saven series by Siobhan Davis. This series is one of the best science-fiction I have ever read, she is the queen of cliffhangers and the plot twists and turns in her books never fail to amaze me. This series definitely deserves more love.

ASTRO – A Book That Gave You a Happy Feeling When Reading

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. This was a pretty cute and enjoyable read.

MONSTA X – A Book Containing a Diverse Set of Characters

The ones that immediately come to my mind are Carry On by Rainbow Rowell or Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli.

A.C.E – A Favorite Recent Release

The award definitely goes to Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff. Aaaaah, this book was gorgeous from the get-go, this book didn’t fail to surprise me and that bloody ending!!!! I want book 3. Very desperately!!

BLACKPINK – A Book That Sticks Out From The Rest Of its Genre

The Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff. Although the character is a young-adult, this series definitely breaks the stereotype that’s been attached to YA and that makes it a splendid read.

SEVENTEEN – A Book With Multiple POVs

The Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. Though I haven’t read it yet but it’s next on my list!!

BIGBANG – A Modern Classic

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Need I say anything more?

SISTAR – Series You Wish Never Ended

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare or just the Shadowhunter universe in general. I love this world too freaking much. And I think I’ll forever be biased towards TMI, it was too much of a special read for me.

RAIN – Favorite Stand-Alone

I’m a series junkie… but I still got a few favourites. Some of them are Bully and Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas, Holding Court by K.C. Held, How to Say I Love You Out Loud and How to Keep Rolling After a Fall by Karole Cozzo and Attachments by Rainbow Rowell.

Nooooow, onto the tagging part (I’m very bad at this though…). I tag-

And as always, feel free to avoid it if you have already done the tag or don’t want to! 🙂

So guys, are you into K-pop?? If yes, who’s your favourite? Aaaand, who’s your bias? Have you read any of the books on my list?? Are any of them your favourite??

The Ultimate Game of Thrones BOOK TAG & The Unique Blogger Award!!

Credit: Source

Thank you so much, Juhi @ Girl Who Reads for tagging me in The Ultimate Game of Thrones BOOK TAG! Go check out her blog people!

Confession time!! I never watched GoT before this year. *gasp* I know, shush… I started watching since the middle of June on a whim and I was hooked from episode 1, and now I only have already finished season 6, so I’ll probably start watching season 7 from today!! I’m sooo freaking excited!! But binge watching was seriously fun! Now, onto the tag…

  • Mention the creator: Orang-utan Librarian.
  • Answer ALL of the questions.
  • Be a Lannister and pay your debts, tag people and keep it going!

1. We do not sow – A book you would not be willing to invest in:

The Heir by Kiera Cass. I recently finished the Selection trilogy and for me, it was a meh read, this series has been collecting dust on my shelf for more than a year after I read book 1, so I decided to finish with America and Maxon’s story but I have no interest in knowing about their daughter and the same thing all over again. Once was enough for me.

2. Fire and blood – A book that produced strong emotions in you:

Bully by Penelope Douglas. I read this back in February and I remember what a heap of a mess I was while reading this book.

3. Winter is coming – Your favourite winter read:

Everything, Everything by Nichola Yoon. This book was just adorable and I fangirled so much. The chemistry between the two main leads was just awesome! You can read my review here.

4. Family. Duty. Honour – A book about strong family ties:

I have to go with Lady Midnight or Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare on this one. This book not only has an epic romance but it deals with so much of the family aspect. I fell in love with Julian more and more and I loved how he took care of his brothers and sisters. You can read my review Lady Midnight, here and Lord of Shadows, here.

5. Growing strong – A book you had low expectations of but grew on you:

The Perfectly Imperfect Match by Kendra C. Highley. The book I read before this one was pretty meh, so I kept my expectations low for this one but ended but absolutely falling in love with it. You can read my review here.

6. Ours is the fury – A book that made you furious:

Red Days by M.L. Sparrow. Well, this book was pretty good, but it was based on true incidents about the Dolphin slaughter in Japan which still happens pretty much to this day, it made me so much angry that someone could do that to dolphins. It is simply, utterly disgusting. You can read my review here.

7. Unbowed, unbent, unbroken – A book you have an unwavering devotion to:

I think I have to go with The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare on this one. ❤ I love this series to death!! I will always have a special place for this series in my heart, just like my Winchesters. You can read my review here.

8. A Lannister always pays his debts – A book you feel indebted to:

The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. This was the first book that sparked my interest for reading.

Who do you want to win Game of Thrones?

I seriously hope it is Daenerys Targaryen with the Starks by their side.

Who do you think will make it to the end and who do you think will die?

I think Arya will live. I mean, I hope so, I love her character. And dead, maybe every freaking body? XD Maybe, Jaime Lannister will end up dead but due to a good cause I guess, because I am enjoying his character growth (though I have heard it’s rather nothing compared to the book about how his character transformed and I intend to find that out!)

Would you win or die?

Haha! What do you think? Though I occasionally surprise myself, so I think I have a 50/50 chance.

What house are you?

House Targaryen (yay!!), according to this quiz.

Thanks to Raven @ Dreamy Addictions and Liesje @ A Thousand Lives for nominating me for The Unique Blogger Award! Don’t forget to check out their wonderful blog guys!

The Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them 3 questions.

Raven’s Questions:

1.What are your top three favourite books so far in 2017?

2.What inspired you to start your blog?

I practically have no bookish friends in real life, so when I found out so many people were involved in book blogging, I found this was something for me too. Blogging provided me with a wonderful platform and in the meantime, I have not only discovered so many great books but made many friends on the way too.

3.Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?

I am going to mention only three here because if I start, there won’t be any stopping me. 😀 Please don’t think you aren’t my favourite just because I couldn’t include you in my little list.

Raven @ Dreamy Addictions || Lauren @ SERIESous Book Reviews || Summer @ XingSings

These three have stuck with me from the very beginning. They are easy to talk to and our bookish choices match 99% of the time. I love Raven’s recommendations and most of them end up being my favourite. Lauren’s series reviews are just awesome, it makes it so easy to understand a series if I’m planning to read it and Summer’s book reviews are elaborate which makes it easy to understand if it’s usually my cup of tea or not.

Liesje’s Questions:

1. What do you like most about being a (book)blogger?

Fangirling!! Interacting with other bloggers and mostly fangirling!

2. Which bookstagram accounts are your favourite?

Darquedreamer || Reviews from a Bookworm || Readxings || My Books and Life || Booknerd Reads

3. What distracts you easily when you’re reading?

Well, usually it doesn’t anymore. I don’t switch on the internet or do any other thing when I am reading. This might be the only thing I can do without procrastinating.

Phew!! This was a loooong post! I don’t have it in me to tag anymore, so please feel free to tag yourself in you wanna do one of this or both of this! ❤

So, guys, so we have any books in common or any same favourites?

The NY Times Book Tag!

Header Image: Source

Thaaaank you so much IceBreaker 694 for tagging me for The NY Times Book Tag! I had so much fun doing this tag. Don’t forget to check out her blog guys. Now, without further ado…

What is on your nightstand right now?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling.

What was the last truly great book you read?

Bully by Penelope Douglas was a phenomenal read!! It had the perfect amount of everything I love. Review coming soon!

If you could meet any writer – dead or alive – who would it be? And what would you want to know?

Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, the authors of The Illuminae Files. I would absolutely love to ask them how they created the awesome universe in this series.

What books might we be surprised to find on your shelf?

Maybe Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur? I am slowly venturing into poetry. This would be my second read after The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace.

How do you organize your personal library?

Eh, I kinda do this the opposite way. From tallest to the smallest. I know. I’m weird. ❤

What book have you always meant to read and haven’t gotten around to yet?

Winner's curse

The Winner’s trilogy by Marie Rutkoski. I have the first two books in this series but I kinda never started this. But I intend to finish all the pending books in this year that I already have in my home. At least the physical copies.

Disappointing, overrated, just not good: what book did you feel you are supposed to like but didn’t?

A Thousand Letters

I thought A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart was going to be heartwrenching, instead, it turned out to be dull and boring.

What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you stay clear of?

I absolutely LOVE fantasy and contemporary! I don’t enjoy erotica, at all. Honestly, I felt pretty bored reading the latter, it’s so not for me.

If you could require the president to read one book, what would it be?

Simon vs

Maybe Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
by Becky Albertalli.

What do you plan to read next?

A Quiet kind of Thunder Everything everything

I am kind of conflicted between these two. HAAALP!!

I tag:

(And as usual guys, you don’t have to do this tag if you’ve already done it or simply don’t want to. And if you do, don’t forget to link me back!)

So guys, do we have any books in common? Is any of the above-mentioned books in your tbr?

Best book and/or series that you’ve read in 2016-

I’ve already mentioned my favourites on this list but here are some-

cinder & ella punk-57 df9f8-finding-kyler how to say I love you out loud holding court Illuminae

Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year-

Here are some authors I am definitely looking forward to reading from:

Most anticipated book turned movie/tv show?

I’m definitely interested in watching Everything, Everything and Ready Player One!

Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one)-

One? Only one? *sighs*
Definitely Jace (from MI) or Will (from TID). ❤

What’s on your TBR for 2017? (Top 5 will suffice if it’s an extremely long list!)-

These are not essentially all 2017 releases but the ones that I’m going to read in the next year:

gemina the diabolic Red Rising 29749085 23766634

How many books do you hope to read in 2017?

Well, I crossed 100 books in 2015 and 2016, so I hope to cross that boundary again! 😀

Will you participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others (PopSugar, Read the Books You Buy, etc.)-

I am definitely looking forward to participating again in the Goodreads Challenge.

Any New Year’s Resolutions? (Bookish, blogging, and otherwise)-

Well, there are loads but I’m not going to write them down because whenever I do so, I end up not maintaining them but if it’s in my head I complete them 99.9% of the time. I know. I am weird. But well there’s one thing, I hope to continue blogging and reading as happily as ever! 😀

I am tagging-

  • Everybody! ❤

So guys, do we have anything in common? How are you looking forward to spending 2017? How has 2016 treated you? Share your thoughts with me?

Harry Potter Book Tag!

I’ve been quite obsessed with Harry Potter over the past few months, well it’s nothing new but after watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (which was super freaking awesome btw…) the obsession kind of increased at a super fast rate! I started marathoning the movies with my brother and also reading the books. So I thought this would be the most appropriate tag to do at this moment!

Sooo… thanks Raven @ Dreamy Addictions for tagging me in the Harry Potter book tag. The original creator of the tag is the lovely duo of Bookidote and the credit for the header and the graphics used in the rest of the post goes to them.

So without further ado, let’s get started, shall we?

Oh, I almost forgot! Important rule: You can’t use any of the HP books in the answer.

A Book You Found The Theme Interesting But You’d Like To Rewrite It:

I liked Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, the concept was interesting but somehow it fell short for me, so it fits the theme.

The First Book In A Series That Got You Hooked:

Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini has really got me hooked, I’m currently reading the second book in this trilogy and already ordered the 3rd one!

A Book You Wish You Could Have Right Now:

I know… I know… this book is in my every freaking tag but what can I do, I want Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff sooo badly!

A Killer Book. Both Senses. Take it as You Like:

Can I say Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas? Because it quite literally killed me!

A Book You Found Really Confusing:

The protagonist in Just Friends by Monica Murphy confused and angered me to such extent that it ended up in my DNF list.

Your Spirit Animal Book:

Ah… definitely The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. It’s also my comfort read and I looove this series, always and forever!

A Dark And Twisted Book:

Definitely, Fairest by Marissa Meyer, although it’s a novella but it fits the category perfectly. This was dark and twisted and absolutely horrifying.

A Book That Surprised You In A Great Way. Reveals To Be More Than It Is:

Saven Defiance by Siobhan Davis. Well, all the books in this series are mind-blowing, especially this one. I sooo need the last book right now!

I nominate:

(Please feel free to ignore this tag if you’ve already done it or simply don’t want to!)

So guys, do we have any book in common? What are your answers? Let me know in the comments!

The Autumn Book Tag!

Thank you so much Liesje @ A Thousand Lives for tagging me in the Autumn Book Tag! (Cover image borrowed from her as well!). I do have many old tags to carry out but this was the most appropriate tag for this month, so yeah!

1. What is your favorite thing about autumn?

My most favourite thing, actually two things about this season, are the weather and the puja holidays. The weather’s pretty good during this time which is a relief from the scorching heat that rules the rest of the year. And also Durga Puja is one of the biggest festivals, in West Bengal, so yeah the holidays are pretty much it.

2. What book reminds you of your school days?

The Famous Five series by Enid Blyton and the House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast. These were the two series I gave my utmost importance to during my school days, I think!

3. What cover reminds you of autumn?

Maybe this one? I don’t know… but the vibrant colour felt autumny to me! You can read my review of Poison, here.

4. What’s your favorite horror or Halloween story?

I am not much of a fan of horror. I don’t think I have read any creepy books yet but…

… this is as close to I can get. Though Lucid was a pretty great read, you can read my review, here.

5. What is your favorite horror or Halloween film?

Again, I avoid horror films. The last horror flick I watched was Conjuring (Part 1) with a friend. I need a partner to watch a horror movie with otherwise I end up skipping and watching the whole movie in 5 minutes.

6. What fall book release(s) are you looking forward to?

I’m reading Illuminae right now and ohmygosh it is sooo good! I’m definitely looking forward to Gemina the most!! (But oh why is Amazon not showing a hardcover option for my beloved?!)
I’m also pretty interested in reading Replica by Lauren Oliver. (Ooooh the cover! ❤ )

7. What autumn movie release are you anticipating?

Can’t waaaait for both of these!!

8. What are the 3 books you plan to read this autumn?

I’m planning to read A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini and maybe Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.

I am tagging- all the Autumn lovers!

So guys, do we have any books in common? Have you read any from my list? If yes, how has been your experience? Which books and movies are you anticipating the most?

The TBR Book Tag!

Thank you so much Dee @ Bookish Khaleesi and Heather @ The Sassy Book Geek for tagging me in The TBR Book Tag! (Header image borrowed from Amber.)

1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Goodreads does the job for me, well not only me but for most of us booklovers pretty well.

2. Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?

Mostly print I guess because I definitely prefer paperbacks than ebooks.

3. How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

It always depends on my mood. I just pick up a book from my shelf if I am feeling like I want to read it next.

4. A book that’s been been on your TBR list the longest?

I still haven’t got the chance to read These Broken Stars! *sobs* This book is so beautiful and the blurb sounds like something I would love. I am definitely going to buy it this year, no matter what!!

5. A Book you recently added to your TBR?

A Shadow Bright and Burning sounds super awesome! I can’t wait to read this one!

6. A book in your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover?

Even after hearing all the negative reviews I bought this one. My reason? I simply couldn’t resist the cover. I’m still hoping that I will somehow end up liking it.

7. A book on your TBR you never plan on reading?

Probably the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelly Armstrong. I have the first book in that series but it’s collecting dust on my shelf and I don’t think I am interested in the series anymore.

8. An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for?

It has to be Saven Declaration by Siobhan Davis. I can’t freaking wait for this book! It’s going to be sooo awesome!

9. A book on your TBR that basically everyone’s read but you?

Basically the whole reading community has read Six of Crows except me. But I do plan on reading this soon. As soon as book 2 comes out.

10. A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you?

So many people have recommeded The Winner’s Kiss but I still haven’t read it yet. I do have the first two books in this series but I am fan of binge reading. I guess I am still waiting for book 3 which I haven’t been able to buy yet.

11. A book on Your TBR that you’re dying to read?

I soo want to read Dreamology but it’s still too pricy for me. 😦 I want a fairy bookish godmother!

12. How many books are there on your Goodreads TBR shelf?

A frightening amount of 675!! I can’t even… But I need to erase about a hundred or so, which I am not interested in reading anymore. But it’ll still remain a looooot! XD

It’s tagging time now! I tag-

So guys, do we have any book in common? Which books have you read from my list? Any recommendations?

The Reading Habits Tag and the Encouraging Thunder Award!

Thank you Dee @ The Bookish Khaleesi for tagging me to do The Reading Habits Tag! Let’s jump right in, shall we…

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Bed. It’s always my soft squishy bed.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I always have a bookmark by my side, so I don’t need to use any random piece of paper or anything.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I can’t stop before I finish a chapter but sometimes if I can’t stay awake anymore or if any emergency comes up which rarely happens, but then I guess I have to finish a certain portion before I can keep the book down.

Do you eat or drink while reading?

Nope! I don’t usually eat or drink while reading. My mom’s gets angry if I do two things at once and also there’s always the fear of I staining my precious book with my food, so it’s better to keep my babies away while I’m snacking!

Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?

Nah! I can’t concentrate on reading (or writing) if anything’s on. It really distracts me and I end up focusing on nothing.

One book at a time or several at once?

I usually read two books together, one paperback while the other ebook, it kind of helps to maintain the balance. I read my paperbacks mostly during the daytime and during the night when I switch off the light, I like to get cozy with my ebooks! XD

Reading at home or everywhere?

Mostly at home I guess but I always have a book by my side wherever I go.

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

I prefer silently. In my head.

Do you read ahead or even skip pages?

I very rarely skim through some portions if I find a part of the book boring. But I also have the bad habit of reading the ending before I even reach the end. It’s such a bad habit and I have quite restrained it a lot but it’s still there.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

Ohmygosh! Absolutely keeping it like shiny and sparkly new as possible!

Do you write in your books?

No, no absolutely not. I love it neat and clean!

Thank you so much Raven @ Dreamy Addictions for nominating me for the Encouraging Thunder Award!

How it goes down:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post the Encouraging Thunder logo.
  • Mention your purpose in blogging.
  • Nominate others for the award.

Sooo…. although I started my blog on an impulse at midnight, my main purpose is to share my thoughts with the bookish community because I don’t have any friends in real life who shares the same love for books as me. I love connecting with the other book lovers out here and fangirling the hell out of a book. It’s been a great experience so far! I have learnt so many new things since I have started a blog so I would definitely say this has been one of the best decisions ever!

I tag and nominate:
