This was definitely one of the best K-Dramas eveeeeeer!! ❤ It was such a whirlwind ride. One moment it had me laughing hysterically and in the very next moment I was ugly crying. Dayum. And it was so unpredictable due to which I enjoyed it even more.

Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is a goblin who is stuck forever as an immortal due to a curse that only his bride can break who will be able to see the sword through his chest. He currently lives with the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong-Wook) who can’t remember anything about his past and the reason why he became a reaper in the first place. But everything changes when Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go-Eun) enters Kim Shin’s life claiming to be his bride. And the Reaper finds himself falling for Sunny (Yoo In-Na), Eun Tak’s boss. But when the past begins to intertwine with the present and the truth is laid bare, chaos fills their life and it’s up to them to decide which path to take.

First of all, I absolutely loved the plot! The beginning of the show was a little bit slow but it picked up its pace soon enough. But I was definitely hooked from the start. Kim Shin has been waiting an eternity for his bride to appear so that he can finally end his curse but when Eun Tak appears in his life, he finds himself slowly falling for her and his will to die fades away. I saw a few people complaining about the age difference between the two main leads but I didn’t have an ounce of problem with that. In fact, I adored the chemistry between them.

Also, one of the best part of this drama was the bromance between Kim Shin and the Grim Reaper!! From the very first, they kind of have a love/hate relationship but slowly it kind of turns into an alliance and then a beautiful friendship. Their continuous bantering and jumping on the same train the next second was so funny!

It was hilarious at times. Mostly, all their interactions were hilarious. Especially their slow-mo model walks! I couldn’t stop giggling during those times! XD

Anyway, the history between them is complicated. I can’t discuss it much without spoiling the entire thing, it was it was definitely well executed. I love this thing about K-dramas, how they manage to intertwine the past with the present and end up with an epic plot! Anyway, I was just relieved to see even after everything their friendship was not affected in the end.

The Grim Reaper was just freeeeeaking adorable! I just wanted to squish his cheeks! And when he was in the presence of Sunny (she is so damn gorgeous!), he became more awkward and it was just so cuteeee! Damn cute. I loved this couple even more than the main leads!

Buuuuuuut their fate was pretty tragic.

After everything in the past gets revealed things become hella complicated, especially with the villain popping out of nowhere. The episodes were structured pretty well and it was easy for the audience to put the puzzle into pieces once all the clues became clear. I was pretty heartbroken when things took a different turn but then this drama again managed to surprise me!

Goblin and Eun Tak’s fate was pretty tragic too, especially how hers was fated from the very beginning of her childhood. The ending was definitely bittersweet. I full on cried for the last 3 episodes! It was just so heartbreaking but the ending left me satisfied, although I definitely wanted a little more but there were happy tears in the end.

I loved this trio so muuuuuch!

Also, I enjoyed the character of Yoo Duk-Hwa (Yook Sung-Jae). I thought he was mainly there for comic relief but he ended up playing one of the most important role! I also didn’t know before watching this drama that he is one of the members of BTOB and dayuuuuum, he is real life and the character he played in this are such a stark contrast. Anyway, I loved him!

Overall, Goblin was a fantastic watch. The acting was superb, the special effects were absolutely perfect and both the plot and the characters managed to keep me interested throughout the drama. This drama will always have a special place in my heart!

This book was seriously SO. FREAKING. AWESOME!! I finally picked it up in July because the release of Godsgrave was coming near and I couldn’t wait to see what the fuss was all about. Oh, damn, I sooo understood because this book took me in for such a ride that I’ll never forget in this lifetime! But my order of Godsgrave got delayed and I’m dyiiiiing!! I need to know what happens next so bad!

“Never Flinch.’ A cold whisper in her ear. ‘Never fear. And never, ever forget.’ The girl nodded slowly. Exhaled the hope inside.

Mia Covere moves forward with only one aim in her mind. Her need to avenge her family keeps her going and there’s only one place which can train her for the mission she wants to accomplish, that is the Red Church. But reaching there is a big hurdle to begin with and being a student there is a whole other nightmare. Mia realises the ultimate challenge when not only she has to use her her mind but her heart comes on the line as well.

A Kickass Plot!

Nevernight was an awesome combination of assassination, kickassery and romance! Although I had read a number of reviews for this book, the overall idea for this book was still very vague to me, so I mostly went in knowing nothing. This book definitely had a slow beginning and the pace slowly picks up (at the rate that you’ll not be able to breathe during the last couple of chapters!) once she arrives at the Red Church. And once the actual journey starts, you know you are in for the ride. Mia has always wanted to learn the art of assassination and who could better teach her than the Red Church, she has heard various tales from her master and yearned to be a part of it because it would be the only be she would be finally able to take back what she lost long ago.

“The brighter the light, the deeper the shadow.”

This book was such an interesting read. The plot was unique and it never failed to surprise me throughout the book. Mia had an usual ability to manipulate shadows which was a pretty interesting aspect and as a character, she was neither perfect nor strong but she did not fail to make her mark. She was seriously so god damn awesome! And I really freaking enjoyed Mister Kindly though sometimes it gave me off vibes, well we’ll get to see more of that in the next book.

Intriguing Characters!

“If her face were a puzzle, most would put it back in the box, unfinished.”

This book had an abundant of characters which provided more layers to the plot. I enjoyed Mia’s friendship Tric, Ash and Charlotta though I didn’t like Jessamine and her brother much. The romance between Tric and Mia developed a little all of a sudden but I had no complaints. None at all. And most of all, I loved the fact that each and every one of these characters were unpredictable as hell and it kept me guessing throughout the book.

Mind-boggling twists and turns!

Things really sped up once the actual competition began at the Red Church. The masters were pretty creative, especially Aalea was cunning as hell and it was clear that each of them assigned their task after putting many thoughts to it, they were creative like them but dangerous as well and my heart was really beating fast whenever one of my beloved characters stood in the face of grave danger because that was available in abundance. The twists and turns never stopped coming! I also enjoyed the character of Lord Cassius and I really wished I had got to see more of him.

I think I was a bit reluctant to pick up Nevernight in the first place because one thing was common in multiple reviews I had read, the writing style. And when I started this book, I could relate. The writing was really hard to get into, sometimes I had to stop and clear my head before I proceeded but I only had this problem in the beginning, as I read along, I didn’t realise when this problem had gone away and I was breezing through the book in no time. In the end, I ended up loving pretty much everything, including the writing style.

Overall

Nevernight was a fantastic read! The plot was intriguing as well as the characters which kept my interest throughout the book. I couldn’t keep this book down. I enjoyed the action and the romance and I sooo can’t wait for Godgrave!! I seriously hope my copy arrives soon. My patience is wearing veeery thin!!!

TV Show Review: Eyewitness || Diverse characters who made my heart leap out with happiness!

Oh my gosh! This show was sooo freaking goood. I’m still not over it!! I sometimes get lost in YouTube. The other day I was watching a lot of video mash up on YouTube, I think I was probably watching a SKAM video when I stumbled upon a “Philkas” video and damn after watching it, I was hooked and I needed to watch it asap, I ended up binge watching all the 10 episodes in a day!

When Lukas and Philip witness a triple homicide in Lukas’s father’s cabin, they decide to keep their mouth shut so that nobody would know they were together. Whereas Philip wants to be with Lukas, Lukas is struggling with coming to terms with his sexuality. One lie leads to a chaos of incidents but the killer is still out there and he is hell bent on leaving no clue behind and that includes the duo.

The plot was seriously awesome! Lukas and Philip were hanging out in their father’s cabin where they first realise they were attracted towards each other. The first kiss was awkward but haaaawt! But they were (rudely!) interrupted when a car shows up thinking it’s Lukas’s dad but then they become the sole witnesses of a triple homicide. They somehow manage to escape but the actual murderer goes free too. Along with Lukas and Philip, the audience knows who the actual villain is but the rest of the people in the show are unaware of the fact and it was a wild goose chase. The mysterious aspect was maintained so well and there were plenty of nail-biting moments which kept me glued to the screen.

Lukas (the blonde guy) was afraid to tell the truth because he thought if he came out in front of everybody, nobody would accept him anymore and Philip agrees reluctantly. And that one lie causes a mayhem! Pretty much. I sometimes hated Lukas because to cover up one lie, he lied more and more and even blamed Philip but after that once incident, it melted my heart because he couldn’t stay away from Philip!! The chemistry between them was so freaking gooood!! And I absolutely adored them together, the romance was off the charts dude!! Although Lukas already had a girlfriend, he did kiss Philip before breaking up with her but it didn’t bother me much because Rose and Lukas didn’t have an actual thing and even Rose acknowledged that.

The were various other sub plots which merged with original plot line in a fantastic way. We have Helen who is an ex-FBI agent with a dark past of her own and who is now Philip’s foster mom. We’ve also got the FBI team who’s working to bust a drug lord where Kamilah is a working officer and her sister is somehow involved in this and she’s trying her very best to get her and her baby out of this mess. Every single thing was linked to the other and I loved how they were tied together in the end. The villain was seriously villainous! (Sorry for the lack of word! XD) He was in plain sight but nobody knew he was the actual guy!! It made everything more suspenseful! Anyway, not only was he a creep but also a paedophile and my heart was in my chest every time he made a move!

Anyway, I couldn’t get enough of Lukas and Philip. I loooved Philip so much. I think he was so smitten by Lukas that he basically agreed to whatever he said (I only hated one particular incident!!), though he did try to convince him to tell the truth about murders but seeing him uncomfortable, he decided to keep his promise. But as much as Lucas tried to convince himself he was not gay, it was him who initiated the kiss most of the time. And omg… they were pretty good kisses guys!! So good! This show seriously made me so giddy with joy. Lukas and Philip made me so happy. I ship Philkas soooo bad! I also loved how they emphasised on consent before taking a step forward in their relationship. When Lukas is attacked by the villain and goes to coma, and Philip is like trying to bring him back by taking about the stuff they used to do together, that scene was seriously heartbreaking. And I was sooo freaking happy, out of the world happy when they decided not to hide anymore! (Is it even healthy to be so happy over fictional characters because I feel it’s still not enough… XD)

Overall, Eyewitness was a fantastic watch! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have watched all the 10 episodes in a single freaking day! I don’t know why it was cancelled, I would have loved to see more of them together and how their life finally moves forward, together. Nonetheless, the plot was executed in a neat way and all the loose ends were tied in the end. I was pretty much satisfied with the ending but I wanted moooore!!! How could I not? The cast was amazing, the acting was amazing, pretty much everything was amazing, especially the romance between Philip and Lukas! I have a feeling I’ll be rewatching this show numerous times in the future.

This book was just so freaking cute and adorable!!! I loved it so much, this book was a quick read and it was the perfect mixture of everything I loved! You can read my review of book 1: The Bad Boy Bargain, here and book 2: Swinging at Love, here.

After Dylan’s initial heartbreak, all he wanted to do was focus on his baseball career. But when Lucy Foster enters his life, a lot of things start to happen differently. And after their first meeting, he doesn’t want anything to do with her, despite everything the chemistry between them is undeniable. Both of them are complete opposites, would a relationship between them be ever possible?

The plot of this book was fun and engaging. We first got a glimpse of Dylan in book 2 of this series where he fell for the same girl as his best friend. But now, he’s over that fact and he only wants to focus on his baseball. Dylan and Lucy come face to face for the first time when Lucy comes to drop off her brother for baseball coaching under him. And that’s when their face off starts! This book is not exactly enemies to lovers but quite close to that and I enjoyed every moment of it. The tension between them was quite palpable and I looved the angst! Both Dylan and Lucy were completely different from each other, whereas Dylan was the uptight and career oriented, Lucy was living in the moment kind of girl and hence, they balanced each other perfectly. 

Underneath everything, Lucy had another side other than the carefree attitude. She took care of her mother, did stitches and embroidery in their shop and also took care of her little brother while her father served in te army. I enjoyed the family aspect of this book too. Especially Otis, Lucy’s little brother. He was just so damn adorable! And he reminded me a little of my kiddie brother. His insecurity was understandable when he voiced his opinion why he didn’t want them to date. But when he saw his sister hurt and crying, the way he defended Lucy’s honour in front of Dylan was just damn, too adorable!!! That scene was one of my absolute favourite in the entire book.

Despite all the differences, Dylan and Lucy both wanted to give them a chance. The chemistry between them was the off the charts and even they saw that. Their relationship escalated quickly and I have no complaints in that matter. I freaking loved the romance between them so much! Albeit, Dylan did mess up and to make up for his wrongdoing, the things he did was the sweetest ever and it melted my heart.

Overall, The Perfectly Imperfect Match was a fantastic read! The plot was executed neatly and I fell in love with each and every character! I loved the chemistry between our two main leads, Lucy and Dylan. The writing was smooth and easy to read and the pace was even throughout the book. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

I picked up Lord of Shadows right after finishing Lady Midnight. This book lived up to my expectations in so many ways. As much as I loved this book, it also broke my heart and I am not going to recover completely until I get my fix, aka the conclusion to this trilogy!!! I sooo wish I could get it now because I am dying to know what’ll happen next!

Surrounded by enemies, the only hope of breaking the cold peace and having the Seelie Queen by their side is if the Blackthorns and Emma can bring her the Black Volume of the Dead. Meanwhile, Emma relationship with Julian becomes more complicated due to their love for each other despite being parabatais. When faced with the ultimate challenge, will Julian and Emma be able to stop the Dearborns from taking their home, the Institute and from starting another war or will it result in a bloodbath?

I was sucked into this book from the very first page. The plot was seriously addicting! Emma continues with her fake relationship with Mark in hope of trying to get Julian to hate her. Despite that, the affection between them continues to grow. The fae realm always gives me kind of creeps but the adventure in those lands are equally memorable. So, when Gywn comes up with the news of Kieran’s execution for helping them, despite bitter feelings Mark goes out to help him and Emma, Julian and Christina follows. It was definitely an exciting and daring adventure, though the fae realm always leaves a mark. And Auther’s death was so sudden, I didn’t even know how to react to that!

Emma reminded me a lot of Jace, she is equally sassy and humorous as well as a kickass fighter. She continues to amaze me. And Julian. Oh, my dear Julian. Sighs. His love for Emma did make him scary sometimes but other than that nobody could be more loyal than that guy and his love for his family melted my heart but his planning of presenting Annabel in front of the Clave and getting the Black Volume anyhow showed another (a little sinister) part of him. Despite everything, the duo of Emma and Julian is everything!! Their chemistry was off the charts!

“It was terrifying to love someone who was forbidden to you. Terrifying to feel something you could never speak of, something that was horrible to almost everyone you knew, something that could destroy your life.”

The family aspect was as usual pretty awesome!! And the representation of Autism was done well once again. I simply loved Ty so much. Kit made a lot of appearance in this book and along with Livvy, these three made a great team! I especially loved the relationship between Ty and Kit, Kit was Ty’s Watson to his Sherlock!

“Fiction is truth, even if it is not fact. If you believe only in facts and forget stories, your brain will live, but your heart will die.”

Although I was wary of Mark in the first book but he totally earned my forgiveness. Although he misses the freedom of the sky, his loyalty to his family was commendable and also Cristina might have been a teeny-tiny reason too. Which brings me my next point, the trio of Mark, Cristina and Kieran was a little weird, I didn’t mind much but it sure felt like another love triangle though I am definitely team Mark and Cristina!

“I think you cannot root out love entirely. I think where there has been love, there will always be embers, as the remains of a bonfire outlast the flame.”

Annnnd Magnus was in this book! I love Magnus, so freaking much! ❤ I love how he and Alec pop up everytime somebody needs help. And I love his sense of humour! My heart broke after seeing Alec’s reaction after everything went down in the final meeting. The mess wouldn’t have happened if not for Dearborns and other downworlder haters. They are no good than Valentine and Zara, my god!! I hate her so freaking much! All of the anti-downworlders were narrow-minded as hell.I seriously hope she gets the deserved punishment for everything she did in her lifetime! Oh, but what I loved was Diana’s backstory!! I loved the diversity in this book!!

Overall, Lord of Shadows was a fantastic read! I don’t have a single complaint about this book BUT WHY IS THE NEXT BOOK SCHEDULED IN 2019!!! I won’t be sane till then! That is pure torture guys, pure torture. I am still devasted by how everything ended! This was the meanest cliffhanger ever!

Anyway, the plot was executed neatly and perfectly and I fell in love with the characters all over again. The writing was beautiful and it flowed smoothly and the pace was even throughout the book. I seriously need book 3 in my life right now!!

*Majorish Spoilerish!*

After everything went downhill when Tamlin sold them off to Hybern to get Feyre back, she is forced to return to the Spring Court with Tamlin and Lucien but keeps her facade on of being on their side. Too much, too soon, she becomes face to face with too many dangers, and she is sure of one thing, a war is coming. A big one. She is ready to defend her home or matter what or die trying.

This book was seriously EPIC!! So many freaking things happened. The plot kept me engaged from the very first page until the last. After Tamlin’s ambush which led to Feyre’s sisters turning into Feys against their will, Feyre only wants revenge for what he did to her family. And by family, not only her sisters but selling the whole of Prythian into the hands of Hybern. I absolutely loved seeing another side of her and how she manipulated Tamlin’s soldiers and his people against him, not that he wasn’t to be blamed for his actions, he absolutely deserved what he got.

“What we think to be our greatest weakness can sometimes be our biggest strength.”

I am someone who doesn’t enjoy politics much, but I have to vastly defer in this case. The politics, the intrigue were absolutely mind-blowing and I was continuously on the edge of what was going to happen next. This book did a fairly great job of maintaining a certain amount of mystery which made this book unpredictable and which is something I absolutely loved.

The family aspect of this book continued to amaze me. I loved how much Mor, Cassian, Azriel and of course Rhysand were a family to each other and comrades later. Rhysand and Feyre were so amazing! I loved them even more in this book and the romance between them was explosive as hell! ❤

“I see all of you, Rhys. And there is not one part that I do not love with everything I am.”

Also, Nesta and Elain were definitely another interesting aspects in this book. I loved the fact that things finally became the way it was supposed to be between Feyre and Nesta, although not fully but it was a start. I seriously didn’t expect that blow from Elain in the battlefield but it was kickass and also how afterwards Nesta finished the job! Simply mind-blowing.

The only one negative aspect of this book, which I felt was that the middle portion dragged a bit. And it started to feel that the main execution of the war would fall short but I am glad I was proved wrong. I admit, I kind of wanted a bit more action from Feyre in the actual war but overall, it was simply devastating (in a good way!) and executed perfectly! Tamlin’s change of side didn’t make me forgive him, in fact when the actual meeting started before the war, I didn’t loathe him more in that one particular moment when he understands Feyre’s truth and that was also the moment I loved Rhysand the most and how he defeated his mate as well as his High Lady’s honour.

“I blinked at my mate. Then grinned, not bothering to hide the savagery within it. “Hybern has no idea about the hell that’s about to rain down upon them, do they.” “Here’s to family reunions,” was all Rhys said.

Everything came down to the war. They were facing Hybern, who were undefeatable especially with the help of the Cauldron. Although with so many allies and a few of their hidden weapons, they still fell short. There were a few moments my heart nearly gave out, especially in the one where I thought I would lose Cassian for real. Amren kinda reminded me of Calypso (from Pirates of the Caribbean) and with the stunt, she pulled but I was so happy for everyone in the end and my heart soared with joy when the unexpected allies rolled in. Feyre’s story may have come to an end but I am definitely up to know more about Nesta and Cassian. There was undeniable chemistry between them and I definitely hope to see more of them in the future. Also, Elain and Lucien are on my list too! Ah, basically I want books for every character!! ❤

Overall, A Court of Wings and Ruin was a fantastic read! I couldn’t get enough of it. The plot waas executed neatly and the characters kept me on my toes. I loved the character developement and the romance between Feyre and Rhysand. There were so many amazing aspects of this book. The writing was beautiful and smooth and it was fast-paced throughout the book! I can’t wait to read more books in this series!!

I’ve been reading Gretchen @ ChicNerdReads‘s poetry on her blog from the very beginning and I completely fell in love with it, she was actually the one who inspired me to read poetry and when I heard she was finally releasing her very own poetry book, I was so excited. I had to wait three weeks to get my hands on this book but it was so worth the wait!

love, and you was raw and powerful. There were so many emotions that lined the pages of this book and it spoke out loud. I was overwhelmed with feelings and I can’t express how much I love this book.

This book was everything! I didn’t think I was going to love this book this much. I couldn’t put this book down and finished it in two sittings. Oh, I soo didn’t want this story to end.

Madeline aka Maddie suffers from SCID, i.e. if she went outside her house she could die at any second. She has never stepped outside her whole life. When Olly moves in as their new neighbour, things begin to change for both of them. Olly has never met a girl like her before and Maddie finally wants something more. It’s up to Maddie to take a leap of faith and move forward or be enclosed in her home forever.

I enjoyed the plot so much. Everyone talked about this book so much that most of the story was spoiled for me. I am guilty here too because I couldn’t stop looking at the reviews either but that didn’t make me feel any less giddy when I started this book. It was so freaking cute. Everything was freaking cute. I was literally dying of cuteness. Lol. Nonetheless, I loved how the plot was executed and this book was so damn addictive!

I fell in love with Maddie and Olly. They were so much different yet together they were absolutely perfect. The email exchanges and messages, their day-to-day encounters and their nighttime rituals were just so sweet and it added more flavour to the story. Unfortunately, I knew the plot twist was coming and when it did it failed to surprise me but weirdly I didn’t mind that at all. Wel,l I should be thankful that my enjoyment was not marred. I liked Maddie’s character so much, she was different… just different but I could connect with her on some level. Olly was absolutely swoon-worthy. I liked him sooo much!! (That would be an understatement.)

Maddie’s decision to listen to her heart surprised me, it proved that she was so much brave than one could ever be and I loved how Olly supported her. And that was one epic adventure and I really, really enjoyed it. The chemistry and romance between Olly and Maddie were just as epic.

The other characters were portrayed so well and it played an important part of the story. Maddie’s nurse/caretaker Carla was such an awesome person, she cared about Maddie so much. I took an immediate liking to her whereas her mom gave a different off-beat vibe. Another thing I would have liked is more information about SCID which was there but it was merely brushed by.

Overall, Everything, Everything was a fantastic read! The plot was neatly executed and the characters were felt so real. I loved the romance between Olly and Maddie and I didn’t want the book to end. The writing was beautiful and easy to read and the pace was even throughout the book.

Bully was raw and heartbreaking and it hit right in the feels! This book definitely took me by surprise and took me on an unforgivable ride and a definitely good one at that as I had a preeetty tough time closing my e-reader. I think this book is either a hit or miss for the readers and I’m so glaaaad it was the former for me.

Tate and Jared went way back but everything changed one summer he went to live with his dad and came back as a different person. Since then he became a bully and Tate was the target of all his tortures. Tate gets a break when she goes off to France for a year. Will things change after she comes back or will it get much worse than ever?

The plot of this book was unpredictable and I really enjoyed that fact. Jared and Tate have been best friends since childhood but his target has always been Tate ever since he returned from that fateful vacation from his father’s home. She couldn’t figure it out where all went wrong but Jared goes out of his way to find new methods to bully her every day. At first, it was really frustrating to see how Jared treated her but despite everything, there was this undeniable spark between them.

“Letting yourself be vulnerable isn’t always a weakness. Sometimes it can be a conscious decision to draw the other person out.”

I loved how the story unfolded. And I absolutely loved how layered both the characters were. Tate is such a strong character, she was different and lot more matured after she returns from France. This time she hits right back whenever she faces Jared. His story, on the other hand, broke my heart. Their relationship took the time to develop and oh I loved the angst! Although the romance was a tad bit predictable, it was slow and sweet burn and I loved it so freaking much!

Some of the things that Jared did really angered me but in the end, I understood where all the anger and hate was coming from. The other characters were surprisingly fun to read about. I especially enjoyed Madoc’s character. He came on a douchebag at first but he definitely warmed up to my heart.

Overall, Bully was a great read. I loved how the story was executed and the characters were pretty complex but intriguing. There’s something about Penelope’s writing that draws me in. It definitely had the same vibe as Punk 57 (which I was unable to write a coherent review about) and I absolutely loooved that book. She is definitely an author I’m looking forward to reading more from.

This poetry book was just mesmerizing. Honestly, I am not much of a poetry fan. But that slowly started changing after I started reading Poe and also the credit goes to my blogger buddy, Gretchen @ ChicNerdReads. And guys, don’t forget to check out her cover real of her very own poetry book: love, and you– here.

So back to the topic. I saw a lot of people raving about this book and I decided to give it a try as well. And oh, my, God! I thought this book would take some time to read but once I started, it was impossible to stop. I finished it in less than half an hour.

This collection of poems is divided into four parts- the princess, the damsel, the queen, and you. Each of the parts was unique and beautiful. I especially teared up during the damsel part.

The complaints I saw from a few people on Goodreads was about the writing style. But for me, that completely worked! I liked how the writing easily flowed and kept me captivated throughout the book. Whereas I could relate to some of them, the others melted my heart.

Overall, The Princess Saves Herself in this One is a beautiful collection of poems that I would love to read over and over again. I loved the writing style and every little thing about this book! For me, this book was definitely an ideal start to reading poetry. I’m looking forward to read more by this author.
