Monthly Wrap-Up: May to August // Where I rant about being behind everything! Oh my!

Heeeeeey guys!!! How are you all doing??

I am like sooooooo behind everything. Freaking everything. From reading to writing to blogging. I can’t even properly go on blog hopping.  I feel sad that I am unable to do these stuff like before. Not like I was a steady writer ever. Anyway, adulthood sucks. Seriously. I finally managed to jot down a schedule for September. Hopefully, I will be able to follow that. I have accepted that I can’t post like before but I am going to try as much as I can.

The number of books and reviews I have written this last 4 months doesn’t even compare to how much I usually do. Moi is sad. *sighs* I NEED TO GET BACK TO BEING A BOOKISH DRAGON!

It’s time to dragon up!

Anyway, ehm! Onto the actual post!

Books I’ve read from May to August:

Life Update:

Well, nothing much to say besides that I am behind everything. Thank goodness for Love Yourself “Tear” followed by Love Yourself “Answer” I was able to survive these past months! The MV “IDOL” is soooo freaking awesome. And damn those underneath meanings! The other songs… oh my oh my! I can’t even!

I finally purchased Scrivner!!! I had my discount code since Camp NaNoWriMo April but due to bank issues, the transaction was being possible but finally oh finally I was able to buy it a few days ago. Hopefully, now I can be productive as well as organised in my writing. I sooo need to complete Crown’s Bane and The Boy Who Touched the Moon.

I alsoooo finally got Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. I also got a few others but no big hauls. Anyway, work life has its up and down but it’s okay so far. Some days are fun, some days are not. Well, that life. But it has sucked up all my time. I am not going to stop that from returning to my bookish world.

See you guys month! Lemme know if you have discovered any good books or tv shows or k-dramas in the comments below! ❤

Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2018! || Where lots of unexpected (but goood) stuff happened!

Heeeeeey guys!!! How are you all doing??

A looooooot happened this month. April was kind of a turning point in my life and it was quite productive as well. But due to those reasons, I didn’t get a lot of time for reading. Fortunately, all my posts for this month were pre-scheduled, otherwise, I think it would have been totally empty! Neither did I get to blog hop but I am hoping to do so this weekend. (I have like 2k bookish emails to check!! HAAALP!!)

Anyway, now onto the bookish goodness!

Life Updates:

April was a good month guys. Yes, I didn’t get to engage in bookish activities much but hopefully, I can balance my schedule in the upcoming days. Okay, so the most exciting news is that I got a jooooooooob!! It was actually unexpected but when I got the call that I got in, it was one of the best moments in my life and working as a content writer is so fulfilling. I mean, I can’t explain the happiness I am feeling right now. I am enjoying work so much guys and I finally feel like I am something doing something worthwhile. My team members are awesome and the working environment is pretty good too. I think I definitely got lucky in my first real job. 🙂

I didn’t get to buy any books this month but I saw Ready Player One with one of my most adorable ARMY friend. Gooooodness, that movie was just soo awesome! Review of both the book and the movie is coming up next month, so stay tuned in for that! ❤

I also participated in Camp NaNoWriMo this month. Due to my schedule, I set my goal only to 15k. Right now, I have reached 10k so far but I am hoping to meet my goal by this weekend! This is the first time I am working on a diverse fantasy book called The Boy Who Touched the Moon. You can check out my Pinterest board for this novel here!! It’s off to good start, I hope I can maintain the pace as well as the essence!!

Update:

camonano

Yaaaaatie I reached my goal of 15k!!! I hope to at least write 10 to 12k each month so that I finish the draft!!

Also, I don’t think I can actively post like I used to. Maybe once or twice a week but I am not giving up on blogging. Never!

What about you guys??

So guys, how was your April? How many books did you manage to read? Which was your favourite read this month? Did you participate in Camp NaNoWriMo? If yes, how was your overall experience?

Life Updates:

Woah. The number of books I usually read and reviewed is certainly decreasing. 😦

Sorry guys, but I think this is how it is going to be from now onwards because of my schedule. Due to this, I have been mostly scheduling all my blog posts which is tremendously helping. 80% posts of this month were scheduled. I hope you guys will still stay by my side. ❤

This month was messy. I felt like I was back to square one but I am trying to push through. But due to all these, the things that I actually love doing like writing is suffering. Though I plan to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo next month because I need a serious push and Camp has always helped me find back my motivation, so hopefully it’ll be the same this time. *fingers crossed*

This month I bought Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, The Empress by S J Kincaid, Landline by Rainbow Rowell and To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. I am pretty much excited to read all the books and I have already finished with Ready Player One because I wanted to finish this before the movie came out! And I am pretty much excited to read all the other books as well but especially To Kill a Kingdom since I have heard nothing but good things about this book!

So guys, how was your March? How many books did you manage to read? Which was your favourite read this month? Anyone participating in Camp NaNoWriMo next month?

Life Updates:

In January, the only thing I guess I did was study. Everybody was surprised. I even surprised myself by the amount of studying I did in 3 weeks!! 😂😂😂 Anyways, I hope the results are not that bad!!

February was awesome!! Because of book fair!! Ta daaaa!! I look forward to this book fair the whole year and this year I was doubly excited because I was going with my fellow ARMYs!!! Yes, it was an absolute blast, we had so much fun together. 😀 Health wise, I’m getting better too. I’m finally trying and I really hope I can keep this up but my anxiety problems are still going over the roof! HAALP!

Anyways, onto the book haul!! The first 4 books are the ones I got at the book fair and I also purchased another 2 from Amazon.

I am sooooo happy with this month’s haul!! But I do have to restrict myself now!! ❤

Sooooo, this month was a cyclone of emotions actually. A loooot happened. But but but that one day was sooo worth it. We, BTS ARMYs of West Bengal originally planned a celebration for TaeJin’s birthday. But we lost Jonghyun. So the celebration was cancelled but we friends met up and had a good time together. But there was a looot of drama involved. But despite everything I loved that I got to spend time with my new family. Also, that was the first time I didn’t feel socially awkward because it already felt I knew them for ages. Love you ARMYS. ❤ It was one of the best days in my life.

I also, finally, like freaking finally got Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff!!! Like finaaaaally!

Life Updates:

Well, November was an okay month. But better than October. Definitely better. I’m trying to organise my life so that I can fit my priorities into my daily schedule. It’s kinda still a little messy. Okay, a lot but I’m trying.

Soooo, just one month left for this year to be over and honestly, I can’t wait. This year has been the crappiest year of my life and I really hope 2018 turns out for the better.

I went to see Justice League with my brother and we looooooved it!! ❤ Also, I watched quite a few awesome K-Dramas as well. Temperature of Love was well… just awesome but it crash-landed a bit in the middle, anyway, I don’t regret watching it, in fact, this will definitely be on my re-watch list. Currently, I’m watching While You Were Sleeping and it’s soooo damn good! Like seriously! Epically good!

Also, I’m super proud that I managed to restrain myself from buying any books this month!! 😀

So guys, how did November treat you? Was it bookishly awesome or just meh? Which book was your favourite this month? Mine was definitely Godsgrave!

K-Drama Reviews:

Life Updates:

October was somewhat okay I guess. I had two big exams which weren’t that great but I had some new experience. Also, my brother came for a few days and we managed to catch up and also watch the movies we had earlier planned to watch together. I finally watched Logan. Unfortunately, it left a bitter taste for both of us. But I did garner the courage to watch IT alone. Hah!! I watched it freaking alone and without skipping. Usually, when it comes to horror movies, I can’t watch it alone, I usually avoid it or end up watching it in 5 minutes by skipping but somehow I was able to watch this one and even enjoy it! Although it was not that horrifying but I definitely enjoyed it.

I only bought one book this month which was Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo. There are a lot of mixed reviews for this book and I’m really excited to find out which category I fall into!! Aaaand, as usual, K-pop and K-Dramas took over my lifeu!!

Lets Chat

So guys, how did October trick-or-treat you? Was it bookishly awesome or just meh? Which book was your favourite this month?

Monthly Wrap Up: September 2017!

While writing this post I realized I seriously didn’t get much reading done this month as well. 😦 Anyway, I hope October is a better month. Now, let’s jump into today’s post, shall we?

Other Stuff:

  • I posted about the Fall Tv Shows which I’m desperately waiting for to return.
  • I posted a review of a Norwegian TV Show known as SKAM.

Life Updates:

BTS’s new album Love Yourself “Her” came out and I died!! They even kind of scolded us in one of their songs and told us to focus more on studies but we ARMYs still died! Lol. It’s been two months since I became an ARMY and I have only listened to Korean songs till now… What is life?

I am becoming more and more obsessed with K-dramas!! Somebody HALP MOI!! I loved Goblin which I watched in August and after browsing YouTube I decided to go with a contemporary before diving head-on into fantasy again. So, I watched You’re All Surrounded and it was soooo awesome. I think I’ll do a review post on the K-dramas next month. Right now I’m watching W: Two Worlds and it’s so freaking gooood and I’ll most probably finish it today! Somebody seriously help me! And also, could you recommend me some more K-dramas? XD

Oh and I also received gifts aka books from college due to my 3rd year result and being the highest scorer in my class. Though I was not expecting 7 books. It was pretty tough to carry it all home!

Oh, my birthday was also this month. On the 26th. I turned 23!!!!! Gooooood, I am becoming oldy! I didn’t want to do anything special this year since my mom was not that well but I was treated with a surprise birthday cake from my neighbour who didn’t talk to me for soooo many months but greeted me with a cake on my doorstep. I tell you, my life is weird. Oh and my little brother also visited yesterday, he gave me a coffee mug with our adorable faces printed on it as my birthday gift. HA! And we also jammed to BTS! ❤ It was awesome.

Oh and here’s my birthday haul:

Yes, my copy of Godsgrave finally arrived!!!!! And I loooooooooove box-sets!! ❤

Oh and also I decided to take some pictures for bookstagram this afternoon. I didn’t realised I clicked 14 (without the extra drafts). God, why is clicking pictures so tiring? Can anybody tell moi?

So guys, how did September treat you? Was it bookishly awesome or just meh? Which book was your favourite this month?

Monthly Wrap-Up: August 2017!

Hey, guys! How are you all doing?

I didn’t read quite as many books as I usually do but it was a good reading month though a rather slow one. I also had planned two more review posts but I didn’t quite feel like writing it. Scheduling really helped me in July and I wish I had done it in this month as well. Hopefully next month! Anyway, let’s jump into today’s post, shall we?

Life Updates:

Well, August was another unproductive month for me. It seems like I’m stepping ahead one step and going back two. It’s really frustrating. And I’m not even trying. 😦 I can’t seem to focus on anything but I really need to try.

On the other hand, the only productive thing in this month was the Scribbler Challenge where working on the prompts were pretty fun. I’m kinda sad it’s coming to an end with only one prompt to finish. Another thing that came out of this challenge was it did give me a new story idea. So yay! Oh, and I can’t forget I finally got into K-pop this month, more specifically BTS! I had actually listened to Blood, Sweat and Tears when it came out but I hadn’t given it much thought so when my friend out of the blue started talking about the BTS nonstop, I either had to change my seat or join the cult! XD So I decided to check it out first and now my day starts with their songs and ends with them. ❤ I’m sooo in love!

Anyway! I bought This Savage Song and Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab this month. Also, my package of Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo finally arrived! Though I can’t wait to read Godsgrave and Wonder Woman next month!!

So guys, how was your August? Did we have any book in common? What are your plans for September? Are you looking forward to any particular book?
