Eun Dae Gu, Uh Soo Sun, Park Tae Il and Ji Gook – otherwise known as the P4 – are the new recruits in the violent crime unit at Gangnam Police Station. These rookies are neither enthusiastic nor passionate about their new jobs and have joined the crime squad for varying but unbefitting reasons. They are lead by an erratic and hot-headed Seo Pan Suk who wants nothing more than to wash his hand off of the incompetent new recruits.

You’re All Surrounded is definitely one of the best K-Drama I’ve ever seen!! It was so freaking awesome! This drama kept me engaged thoroughly from the start to the finish. I randomly discovered it YouTube one day and watching this one was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. #SorryLife #NopeNotEvenSorry

Eun Dae-Koo (Lee Seung-Gi), Eo Soo-Sun (Go Ara), Park Tae-II (Ahn Jae-Hyeon) and Ji Kook (Park Jung-Min) are four rookie detectives who start working under Pan Seok (Cha Seung-Won) who is the leader of team 3. They have all joined this profession for some reason or the other but Eun Dae-Koo is the one who seems to be the one harbouring secrets and he’s the only one who recognises Pan Seok even though it’s been 11 years since they first met, Eun Dae-Koo still holds a grudge against him but as they start working together, he realises things may not have been the way he actually thought in the first place.

The plot was definitely refreshing and interesting! Eun Dae-Koo’s mother was murdered when he was still in school and he holds Detective Pan Seok responsible for that and after so many years he’s back but working under the same detective he has a grudge against. The backstory was moulded perfectly into the present. One of the things, I loved the most was that this drama was hilarious at times! The only let down of this entire drama was the big reveal, well even the characters thought so… but don’t let that be the only thing from watching this show because it’s definitely worth it! Also, I enjoyed how Eo Soo-Sun’s mother incident tied up with the main plot, it was seriously interesting! I can’t reveal much without spoiling, so just go and watch this show!

The characters. Oh, my god, the characters were freaking EPIC!! Eun Dae-Koo is the perfect epitome of angry young man but in fact, he’s a squishy teddy bear. Eo Soo-Sun was just adorable and I soooo loved the romance between the two. The romance was not heavily focused but it was still there and I looooved it! Park Tae-II and Ji Kook (is actually a teddy bear) were the perfect additions to the team and definitely provided the comic relief. But the one character who was the most interesting was Seo Pan-Seok, the lead detective. He was already involved with Eun Dae-Koo’s mother’s murder case and as the show proceeded we get to see more of him, I definitely enjoyed how everything was handled. He was phenomenal actually!! And that ending, I can’t stop laughing whenever I think that!! 😂

This scene was the best and the most HILARIOUS moment of the entire drama!! 😂😂

Although the main plot structure was maintained, the rookies had to solve other cases and each and every one of those were pretty awesome, especially the ones with which the show starts. It was hilarious actually! I had to pause before I was laughing too goddamn much.I loved the fact that they grew as a team as the show proceeded and it was one of the best things ever. They became one as a family. I really hated all the politics that played a vital role in the show, there were quite a few shocking moments but I definitely loved how the ending wrapped up.

Overall, You’re All Surrounded is an addictive show! The acting was really great and Cha Seung Won definitely did a brilliant job. His character will keep you guessing throughout most of the drama and I loved that mystery factor. I am soooo glad I decided to watch this drama.

Recommend it?

You still need to ask!!

  3. GAH!!! I can’t believe I missed this review Poulami!! I LOVE it! And I LOVED the show too! I agree its 4 star but it has this lovely combo of action / drama / comedy that makes for fun watching… This is the first thing I saw Go Ara in and she’s kind of a batty actress. We totally watched this for CHA though… He is one of my FAVORITE older actors!! I’ve not seen him in many things so I took the opportunity when he was in this with Lee Seung-gi and I wasn’t disappointed! ❤

  4. I haven’t watched this show yet but I saw it has good ratings! I’m so glad loved it! Lee Seung-Gi and Cha Seung-Won are pretty amazing actors and they’re my favorite too. You must watch Lee Seung Gi’s “My Girlfriend Is a Nine Tailed Fox” and Cha Seung-Won’s The Greatest Love. They’re both pretty hilarious and romantic dramas. I recently finished “W” and I loved it! I’m currently watching Revolutionary Love and so far, I’m enjoying it. Anyways, Thanks for this wonderful review! I’ll definitely watch it after I’m finished with my current drama. Hope you have a great day! 🙂
